Who IS The Posh Gourmet?

One glorious afternoon in a California vineyard, while sharing one incredible bottle of Chardonnay, two adventurous souls became The Posh Gourmet.   Roy Judd and Sandie Jarrett realized that with little effort, they could bring that afternoon home with them to enjoy again and again.  Before leaving the wine country that day, they scoured the local specialty food stores for locally produced wine country foods to bring home to share with their loved ones. 

Once home, Sandie began experimenting with tangy pestos, briny tapenades, rich olive oils, and flavor infused vinegars.  Their favorite middle of the week meal became a series of delicious crostinis topped with different pestos and tapenades and a large crisp salad.   Their next family gathering was held under the umbrella of an ancient Chinese Elm tree, where they recreated their vineyard experience in their own backyard with tapenade topped mini pizzas, grilled chicken and pesto pasta, and chunks of crusty bread dipped in herb dipping oil.  

Although an accomplished cook, Sandie discovered an entirely new way of cooking.  With the flavor-intense Pestos and Tapenades, she began creating pizzas, pastas dishes, and unique dressings for salads.  With the addition of flavored grape seed oils to her pantry, sautéing was taken to new heights.  Sandie discovered that sautéing  meats and vegetables in infused oils added another layer of flavor.  Before long, friends and family were asking how they too, could bring the Mediterranean influenced flavors of California's Wine Country to their own kitchens. 

Roy and Sandie established The Posh  Gourmet as a business to meets the growing demands for the high quality foods they continue to discover  throughout their travels.  They hope to share their love of food and life with everyone they meet -- including those they meet virtually!
